Paper presentation at LSE Conference, 23-24 April 2026

Leon Gawenda presented his paper „Who Speaks for the Left-Behind? Framing of Spatial Inequalities in the House of Commons (1988–2019)“ at the LSE Conference on „Political Dimensions of Urban and Rural Life“, 23-24 April 2026. This is shared work with Chen Zeng (King’s College London) and Konstantin Wandel (also RegioHub at Bielefeld University). The paper traces localism in the UK House of Commons by analysing parliamentary speeches.
